Tweak Your Morning Routine To Start Your Day Right

Did you know that you can bring more energy into your day if only you’ll tweak your morning routine? It’s stronger than a cup of coffee. The effects last throughout. And it keeps you happy.

Wondering what it is?

It’s meditation!

No, we’re not pulling your leg. If you’re one of those people who think meditation or its benefits is just one big ballyhoo, you should definitely stop and reconsider. Meditation’s wonderful effects to both mind and body are backed by science. And true science doesn’t lie.

So, if you want to start fresh every day, here’s how you can jumpstart your mornings:

Start with a 2-Meditation Routine

As soon as you hit your alarm clock to stop it from shrieking, sit up and use two of the few precious quiet minutes you have after waking up. Stay relaxed and breathe in and out. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Focus on your breathing. Pay attention to the rising and falling of your chest.

Your mind is naturally quiet at this stage. So take advantage of it to meditate deeply in a short amount of time.

OR Turn the First Activity of Your Day Into Meditation

Mindfulness meditation allows you to turn practically any activity into meditation as long as you pour your focus into the activity and stay “mindful” and present every moment. So, think about the first thing you do every morning. Whether it’s making your bed, brushing your teeth, or drinking your first cup of coffee, use the mindfulness technique to start your day with meditation.

Next, Move Your Body

After meditation, energise your body more by exercising for at least seven minutes. Hit the treadmill, do jumping jacks, or perform ab crunches, lunges and squats. It doesn’t matter what you do. Just keep your body moving.

Detox with Lemon Water

Lemon water is cheap and easy to make. So, keep a pitcher of it in your fridge and drink a glass or two of it before heading to the office. It will help cleanse your body and speed up your metabolism.
